Today we visited the Cherokee capital of New Echota. We had a wonderful time visiting the buildings of long ago. The weather was perfect! The kids got to see a guide print one copy of the Cherokee Phoenix, which was the newspaper printed after Sequoyah invented the printed Cherokee language. It was a very neat trip. Your kids told me they couldn't wait to go home and tell you all about what they saw. Thank you so much to the parents who helped. I couldn't take a trip like this without help!
